Free Electrons partners with T-Hub India to revolutionize energy innovation

Free Electrons established a partnership with T-Hub-Hyderabad, India’s pioneering innovation ecosystem, as a Free Electrons ecosystem partner in India. The T-Hub is home to more than 2,000 startups, 100+ valued partners, and 400+ international connections. This ecosystem partnership aims to boost Free Electrons’ presence in India and support the growth of advanced energy solutions through T-Hub’s extensive network of startups, entrepreneurs, and innovators. 

As an ecosystem partner, T-Hub will connect Free Electrons with India’s thriving startup community. The partnership will focus on finding and supporting promising startups in the energy sector, encouraging the exchange of knowledge, and providing startups with the tools and resources they need to expand their solutions worldwide. 

The collaboration officially began on August 19, 2024, which related to Free Electrons’ team visit in Hyderabad. The day started with a tour of T-Hub’s cutting-edge facilities, followed by presentations from Free Electrons, T-Hub, and Enterprise Ireland, which laid the foundation for the upcoming collaboration. The highlight of the day was the signing of the Letter of Collaboration, marking the official start of the partnership. The day concluded with an energy startup pitch round, showcasing innovative solutions from T-Hub’s startups. 

The second day focused on innovation and startup interaction at the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad. The Free Electrons team explored the TiHAN-IIT-H ecosystem, visiting research labs and examining the broader innovation landscape. The day included a presentation by Free Electrons, a one-on-one pitching session with selected energy startups, and an introductory talk with Solving for Climate Action by Leveraging the Ecosystem (SCALE) about their market access program and developing a sustainable supply chain. These sessions provided a platform for startups to showcase their potential and discuss collaboration opportunities. 

On the final day, key partners and stakeholders from the ecosystem gathered to explore potential strategies on how the ecosystem can be expanded to include stakeholders in the Global South, driving global impact and fostering a more inclusive global community. The event wrapped up with a closing session celebrating the spirit of collaboration and commitment to accelerate innovation in sustainable energy technologies. 

The collaboration between Free Electrons and T-Hub marks a significant step forward for innovation and advancement in the energy industry.
